Creative Director & Author Portfolio

I am an author, scriptwriter, and world-builder and the creator of Primplife—meaning “make your life as beautiful as possible.” What began as a nonprofit creating books, workshops, and confidence-building experiences for girls has grown into a multimedia universe designed to uplift their inner confidence while giving Black girls the representation to see themselves as magical, imaginative, and at the center of the adventure.

Primplife: The Animated Universe

The PrimpGirl animated universe centers on PrimpGirl, a 14-year-old Black superheroine with locs who helps girls discover the confidence already within them. Her design is intentional—she reflects the kind of representation at the heart of Primplife, allowing Black girls to see themselves as magical, powerful, and worthy of being the hero. Her animated world expands characters and stories first developed through Primplife’s original illustrated books and comics, evolving that published storyworld into a larger children’s entertainment property.

A World of Confidence, Part 2: Find Your Voice

PrimpGirl enters Planet Sapphire, where a quiet young girl discovers that finding her voice may be the key to restoring light to an entire world.

 Script & Story Architecture

I write because I love to imagine worlds where girls can see themselves positively. A girl’s emotional landscape is always changing, and I believe her inner girl—her confidence, imagination, and sense of who she is—is one of the most important things we can protect and build up. That belief is at the heart of the PrimpGirl universe. In collaboration with illustrators on the Primplife team, I develop the characters and visual world, then use a storyboarding process to build each story within an animated framework. As I develop PrimpGirl scripts, I also study the intentional pacing and emotional depth of children’s programming. My writing focuses on slower, thoughtful character interactions that allow themes like identity, self-worth, confidence, and anxiety to be gently explored.

Published Foundation (Comics & Webtoons)

Before PrimpGirl entered animation, her world lived on the page. Through independently published comics, illustrated stories, and Webtoons, I developed the characters, themes, and visual identity that became the foundation of the larger PrimpGirl universe. These stories explore confidence, representation, friendship, history, and self-discovery through the experiences of young Black girls.

Real-World Community Impact

The heart of Primplife extends beyond the page and screen and into the lives of real girls. Through interactive workshops, live storytimes, community events, and signature experiences, I transform the same themes explored in our stories—confidence, creativity, representation, and self-expression—into experiences girls can participate in for themselves. These programs allow the Primplife universe to live both as a storyworld and as a community built to help girls see possibility in who they already are.
