As we move forward in our journey at Primplife, I want to take a moment to share some heartfelt news with all of you, our dear supporters and community. Primplife will be entering a period of strategic planning that will last through 2025. This phase of introspection and growth is a direct response to the immense personal loss I recently experienced—the passing of my mother, a guiding light in my life and the inspiration behind so much of what Primplife stands for.
My mom was more than just a parent; she was a role model who taught me the value of confidence, resilience, and compassion. She was the first woman who showed me what it means to live a life with respect, value, and kindness. The work we do at Primplife—empowering young black girls to see their worth—was built upon the foundation of the lessons she imparted.
Her passing has brought a wave of grief but also deep reflection. As we move forward, we feel it’s important to take this time to carefully plan the future of Primplife in a way that honors her legacy. This means revisiting our vision, strengthening our programs, and creating a lasting impact that will continue to uplift girls for generations to come. Through this strategic planning phase, we will:
Evaluate our programs and impact: Ensuring that each initiative reflects the highest standards of empowerment and personal growth for the young girls we serve.
Expand our outreach: Finding new ways to reach underrepresented girls in rural communities.
Honor our roots: My mother’s spirit of nurturing will remain central to all our initiatives as we refine how we deliver our mission.
While we may be stepping back temporarily from launching new programs, rest assured that Primplife is still very much alive. We are working hard behind the scenes to craft the next chapter of our story—one that is filled with purpose, vision, and deep love for every girl we aim to uplift. This planning phase is also an opportunity to strengthen our community. We welcome your feedback, thoughts, and prayers as we move through this reflective time. We would not be where we are today without the support of this community, and I believe that together, we can create an even stronger foundation for Primplife’s future.
In my mother’s honor, I am more determined than ever to ensure that Primplife continues to empower young girls to see their true beauty, strength, and potential. Thank you for standing with us during this time of transformation and for believing in the power of positive change.
