helping young Black girls build confidence, imagination, and self-worth.
What started through workshops, community events, and creative programming slowly became something even bigger. Along the way, the real impact of Primplife was calling me! It is not just in the events themselves, but in the stories, characters, and creative spaces that allowed girls to feel seen, encouraged, and inspired.
Recently, I had the opportunity to reflect on that journey in a feature with Voyage Raleigh’s Inspiring Stories series. Sharing the story behind Primplife reminded me how much this vision has grown and evolved over the years.
While many people remember Primplife through workshops and local programs, this next chapter looks different. I’m currently focused on expanding the Primplife universe through storytelling, creative development, and new digital experiences designed to encourage the next generation in fresh and meaningful ways.
This season is less about constant activity and more about intentional building. It’s about creating stories, tools, and imaginative worlds that young girls can carry with them long after an event is over.
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Primplife throughout the years, whether through attending events, reading the books, encouraging the vision, or simply believing in the mission.
